Equipment
COFFS COAST GOLF FIT is the custom fitting arm of Coffs City Golf Centre. It is a unique service not found in many places world wide. Our AAA Accredited Professionals Peter Pearce and Matt Allan assist you in the improving of your golf game, whether it is through lessons or fitting you out with a new set of clubs. The first step in our golf fit program is to fully assess your golf. Such as where it is today, what are your strengths, weaknesses, and where can we improve. Part of the improvement process involves looking at the equipment you are using. This is the initial phase of Club Fitting.
Purchasing a new set of clubs, or even an individual club, can be a very confusing process and fraught with danger. There is a lot of misleading information in the market place today. Peter and Matt are committed to taking the confusion out of your purchase.
There is some fantastic equipment being released today by all the leading manufacturers, from square headed drivers, to fitted putters to spin milled wedges. But not all new equipment is suited to every golf swing. During the Fitting process, we find out what technology (such as type of shaft, shaft flex, shaft length, lie angle, grip size etc.) is best suited to the individual’s swing. We also determine the suitability of your current set of clubs.
If your not sure where to begin, simply follow the guide below and choose which service or product best suits you.

BENEFIT FROM MODERN CLUBS
Below is an excerpt from our popular Tee Talk written by Peter Pearce in 2009.
The golf equipment of today is without doubt incredible and the potential benefits to players of all standards are very significant. We see many clients renew their desire to play simply because the new clubs feel so much better and deliver greater length and accuracy.
The custom fitting options of modern equipment is almost infinite and allows professional club fitters to provide the ideal componentry and set composition to perfectly suit golfers of all abilities. The important factor is ensuring your fitter has both the expertise and trial fitting clubs to allow for accurate personal fitting.
In some cases a professional club fitter may recommend a technique adjustment before completing a club fit in order to lengthen a golfers career and or to maximise the performance of the new clubs.
While at times some products may be available at discounted prices on the internet, our experience shows many of these products are knock offs, meaning counterfeit. If you purchase one of these significantly flawed products you will not receive the full advantage that the original would provide.
The major golf companies invest massive amounts of capital in tracking down and prosecuting the principals behind these products because the damage to their genuine product and reputation can be considerable.
If you are in the market for a new custom fitted set, please seek professional fitting advice.
Good golfing until next week.
